Abstract:  We study a dispersive system which provides a first correction to compressible Navier-Stokes systems. We show a local in time well-posedness result of this system. We also show its convergence to Sone's ghost effect system under appropriate scalings. Both of these results are established over the whole domain RN. For bounded domains, we comment on appropriate boundary conditions of a linear moment system derived from linearized kinetic equations with incoming data.
