Maximum principle and singularities for models of Navier-Stokes equations

Dr. Diego Cordoba

Instituto de Matematicas y Fisica Fundamental at Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Cientificas (CSIC)

Abstract:   I will discuss different models, in 1D and 2D, of the vorticity equation . We will study the formation of singularities and the effect of adding a generalized viscous diffusion term.
