Fast Multipole Methods in Oscillatory Environments: Overview and Current State of Implementation

Dr. Vladimir Rokhlin

Computer Science at Yale University

Abstract:   I will review Fast Multipole Methods for the Helmholtz and Maxwell's equations, discuss the differences between this environment and the non-oscillatory one, and illustrate the current state of affairs with several numerical examples.
